I forged horseshoes to create the Quarter Horse Profile. The challenge of recreating horse anatomy from bent and textured horseshoes was ever present. In the end, forty pounds of horseshoes were formed and mounted to a twenty pound piece of sandstone that I carved for the base. The patina and clearcoat were selected to enhance the horse’s form.
